NORFOLK, VA. - Coastal Carolina women's basketball (11-14, 4-8) travels to Old Dominion on Wednesday, Feb. 11 in Norfolk, Va. Tip-off is set for 5:00 p.m. ET and will be streamed live on ESPN+ as well as the Chanticleer Sports Network. 

ABOUT THE CHANTS

• Despite being 4-8 in conference play, the Chants are still the sixth-best Sun Belt team in the NET rankings, ranking 134th overall.
• The Chanticleers are one of the highest-volume three-point shooting teams in the country, ranking 15th with 9.0 three-pointers per game and 27th with 25.8 three-point attempts per game.   
• Coastal fell to Bowling Green 93-82 in the second round of the MAC-SBC Challenge on Saturday in Ohio.
• The Chants brought the game within two with just-under four minutes left before the Falcons ended on a 11-2 run.
• Coastal went 24-56 (43%) from the field and 8-26 (31%) from three-point range, while making 26 of 33 free throws.
• Tessa Grady led the Chants in scoring for the fourth game in a row with 21.
• Through 25 games, Coastal ranks 53rd in the country with 74.8 points per game

• Old Dominion holds a 15-10 overall record and 6-6 in Sun Belt play, currently sixth in the conference standings. 
• The Monarchs beat Ohio 84-76 in the MAC-SBC Challenge in Athens, Ohio on Saturday. 
• Simaru Fields leads the team in scoring with 13.3 points per game. 
• DeLisha Milton-Jones is in her sixth season as the head coach of the Monarchs with a record of 114-69.   

• Coastal will be meeting Old Dominion for the seventh time. 
• The Chants are 1-2 in Norfolk, winning in their last trip 80-77 on Jan. 8, 2025.
• ODU beat Coastal 81-65 in the last meeting on Feb. 26, 2025 in Conway.

• Junior Tessa Grady has reached another level the last four games, scoring 21 against Texas St., a career-high 25 against Troy, 24 at Arkansas State and 21 at Bowling Green.
• In those four games, Grady has shot 62% (32-52) from the field and 50% from three (16-32). 
• Grady ranks second in the conference during Sun Belt play in three-point percentage at 38%.

• Currently, Coastal ranks 15th in the country with 9.0 made three-pointers per game.

• Both Kristin Williams and Tessa Grady rank in the top-25 in the country for made three-pointers, with Williams in fourth (76) and Grady tied for 20th (69).
• Williams and Grady rank second and third in the SBC with 3.0 and 2.8 three-pointers per game.

• Head Coach Kevin Pederson coined the term "Coastal Chaos" prior to last season due to his philosophy of tough defense and forcing teams to be uncomfortable. 
• The stats backed up the chaotic defense, as the Chants led the Sun Belt with 20.3 turnovers forced per game and ranked second in steals per game with 10.88.
• This season, Coastal ranks 51st in the country with 20.0 turnovers forced per game, and 132nd with a turnover margin of 1.4.
