JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Coastal Carolina goalkeeper
Charlotte Sadler has been named the Atlantic Sun (ASUN) Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday.
It marks her second honor in as many weeks.
Sadler helped the Chanticleers to an 11-10 win over Charlotte on Wednesday before another standout performance Sunday. She held Davidson to just six goals after the Wildcats had scored 42 in their first three games, as Coastal fell 6-5. She played all 120 minutes in goal and totaled 14 saves with a .467 save percentage, including nine stops on 15 shots on goal (.600) against the Wildcats, who fired 32 total shots.
Sadler faced 27 shots against Charlotte and recorded five saves to earn her fourth win of the season. She leads the ASUN with 38 total saves and ranks third in both goals-against average (8.31) and save percentage (.494).
Sadler and the Chanticleers return to action Saturday, Feb. 28, at William & Mary.
