NEW ORLEANS – Coastal Carolina men's tennis student-athlete
Christopher Norlin was named Sun Belt Player of the Week, the league announced on Wednesday afternoon.
The Lindigo, Sweden native played a pivotal role in Coastal's 4-3 comeback win against the Elon Pheonix on March 13. After the Chants dropped the first three points of the match, Norlin delivered a key upset on court one to flip the momentum, defeating No. 94 Veljko Krstic, 7-6(4), 6-2.
Norlin becomes the first Chant to earn the honor this season. The last Coastal player to receive the recognition was now graduate assistant coach
Emiliano Gonzalez Balmaceda on March 19, 2025.
The Chants will return to action on March 22, traveling to Buies Creek, N.C., to face Campbell at 3 p.m. ET.
