Coastal Carolina wide receiver Malick Meiga was selected in the second round with the 14th overall pick of the 2026 Canadian Football League Draft by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on Tuesday night.
A native of Montreal, Canada, Meiga spent the past two seasons with the Chanticleers, appearing in 23 games. The 6-foot-4 wide receiver played in 11 games during the 2025 season, totaling 19 receptions for 209 yards and a touchdown.
In 2024, Meiga appeared in 12 games, recording seven receptions for 117 yards while averaging 16.7 yards per catch. He posted a season-long 46-yard reception in the season opener at Jacksonville State and recorded multiple receptions in games against William & Mary and Old Dominion.
Just days after the NFL Draft, Meiga also earned an invitation to attend rookie minicamp with the Carolina Panthers, highlighting his opportunity to compete at multiple professional levels following his time in Conway.
