Former Coastal Carolina men's soccer standout Frantzdy Pierrot is headed to the world's biggest stage.
Pierrot will represent Haiti at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, helping lead his country to its first appearance in the tournament since 1974.
One of the most accomplished players in Coastal Carolina men's soccer history, Pierrot scored 25 goals in 41 matches during his two seasons in Conway from 2016-17. He earned First Team All-Sun Belt honors in both seasons and was named the 2017 Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year after totaling 10 goals and four assists while leading the Chanticleers to a conference championship.
A 2017 United Soccer Coaches All-Southeast Region First Team selection and Sun Belt Conference Tournament MVP, Pierrot helped Coastal Carolina reach the NCAA Tournament in both of his seasons with the program. He scored 18 goals and added nine assists during his senior season alone, helping establish himself as one of the top attacking players in the nation.
"Everyone associated with Coastal Carolina Soccer is incredibly proud of Frantzdy and this remarkable accomplishment," said head coach Adam Perron. "To see a former Chanticleer represent his country on the world's biggest stage is special. Frantzdy's journey is a testament to his work ethic and talent, and it also speaks to the level of student-athletes who have come through our program. We can't wait to watch him compete in the World Cup and represent both Haiti and Coastal Carolina on the international stage."
Since turning professional, Pierrot has continued to excel at both the club and international levels. The Haitian striker has scored 91 goals during his professional club career while establishing himself as one of Haiti's top goal scorers.
In 51 appearances for the Haitian National Team, Pierrot has found the back of the net 34 times and has played a key role in Haiti's return to the FIFA World Cup for the first time in more than five decades.
Prior to arriving at Coastal Carolina, Pierrot earned CAA Rookie of the Year honors at Northeastern before transferring to Conway, where he quickly became one of the premier players in the Sun Belt Conference.
