CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina women's soccer team opened the 2026 season with a 3-0 victory over Charleston Southern on Thursday evening at the CCU Soccer Complex.

After forcing saves in the 39th and 40th minutes, Kamden Pierce broke open the match just one minute later when her deflected shot found the back of the net to give Coastal a 1-0 lead.
At the end of the half, Coastal led 8-2 in shots and 2-0 in corner kicks.
Sammy Schulze extended Coastal's lead to 2-0 in the 55th minute with assists from Kyra Kotsopoulos and Reegan Wagg.
The Chants sealed the victory in the 81st minute when Lauryn Barringer bagged Coastal's third goal of the night off an assist from Landri Allee.
Fourteen players made their debut in Teal and Bronze, seven of whom made their first collegiate appearance.
At the final whistle, CCU led 16-7 in shots and held a 6-2 advantage in shots on goal.
The Chants will return to the field on Aug. 20 to take on Florida in Gainesville at 6:30 p.m. ET.
