
Volleyball Host No. 21 Indiana, NC State for Chanticleer Classic

CONWAY, S.C. – Coastal Carolina closes the non-conference portion of its schedule this weekend when it welcomes No. 21 Indiana and NC State to the HTC Center for the Chanticleer Classic.
The Chanticleers open the three-match event against Indiana at 6 p.m. Friday before facing NC State at 1 p.m. Sunday. The Hoosiers and Wolfpack will meet Saturday at 2 p.m.
Both Coastal Carolina matches will be broadcast live on ESPN+. Live statistics for all three matches will be available through StatBroadcast.

ABOUT THE CHANTICLEERS
Coastal Carolina enters the weekend with a 4-3 record after having its three-match winning streak snapped at No. 17 Tennessee last Saturday. The Chanticleers have earned victories over Queens, Jacksonville, Florida A&M and Wofford.
Friday's match will be Coastal's fourth consecutive contest against a team that participated in the 2025 NCAA Tournament. The Chants are 2-1 during that stretch, defeating Florida A&M and Wofford before falling at Tennessee.
Anzley Rinard leads a balanced Coastal attack with 78 kills and averages 3.00 kills per set. Natalie Hughes has added 63 kills, while Hatteras Welker has recorded 58.
Welker leads the Chanticleers with 32 total blocks, followed by Hughes with 27 and Amarah Johnson with 22. Coastal enters the weekend averaging 2.37 blocks per set while limiting its opponents to a .177 hitting percentage.
Setter Kaylee Musick has distributed 201 assists and ranks second on the team with 52 digs. The junior has recorded three double-doubles this season and was named the Sun Belt Conference Setter of the Week on Sept. 7.
Senior Anna Rita made her season debut at Wofford and immediately contributed 14 kills on .571 hitting with three blocks. She added five blocks against Tennessee.
SCOUTING INDIANA
No. 21 Indiana brings a 5-2 record to Conway after winning five of its last six matches. The Hoosiers own victories over Georgia and then-No. 12 Texas A&M and swept Cal Poly and Eastern Illinois during their most recent tournament.
Jaidyn Jager leads Indiana with 3.72 kills per set and has posted double-digit kills in six consecutive matches. Ella Boersema averages 3.00 kills per set while hitting .377.
Teodora Kričković directs the offense with 10.28 assists per set, while libero Hannah Leftridge averages 3.12 digs. Middle blocker Kiki Granberry has recorded a team-high 28 blocks and averages 1.33 blocks per set.
Friday will mark the second meeting between Coastal and Indiana. The Hoosiers won the first matchup in three sets at the Indiana Invitational on Sept. 7, 2013.
SCOUTING NC STATE
NC State enters the weekend at 8-1 and has won six consecutive matches. The Wolfpack's streak includes a five-set road victory over LSU in Baton Rouge.
Freshman Britni Silver leads the NC State offense with 128 kills and averages 3.88 kills per set. She recorded 25 kills against Wofford and followed with 22 kills and 11 digs in the win over LSU.
Freshman setter Eva Long averages 10.30 assists per set and recorded 53 assists and 23 digs against LSU. Zuzanna Maciejewicz leads the Wolfpack defensively with 4.30 digs per set, while Talia Francom averages 1.71 blocks.
Coastal has won the last two meetings against NC State, including a 3-1 victory in Raleigh last season. The Chants also defeated the Wolfpack in five sets at the HTC Center in 2023.
