Men's Golf Tied For Fourth After Opening Day Of Highlands Invitational

WESTCHESTER, Ill. – Coastal Carolina men's golf is tied for fourth place after the first two rounds of the Highlands Invitational on Monday at Chicago Highlands Golf Club.
The Chanticleers finished the 36-hole opening day at 8-over par, tied with Toledo. East Tennessee State leads the field at 15-under, followed by Eastern Michigan at 9-under and Wake Forest at 1-under.
Drew Sykes led Coastal through the first two rounds, finishing the day at even par and tied for 12th on the individual leaderboard.
Lucas Arntsen is tied for 21st at 2-over, while Jack Lee and Waymon Thomas are tied for 30th at 3-over. Harrison James rounds out the Coastal lineup in a tie for 67th at 13-over.
Santiago Schele, competing as an individual, is tied for 42nd at 5-over.
East Tennessee State's Erik Tjarnberg holds the individual lead at 7-under, one stroke ahead of Eastern Michigan's Arsit Areephun. ETSU's Veigar Heidarsson is third at 5-under.
The Chanticleers will return to Chicago Highlands Golf Club on Tuesday for the third and final round of the tournament.
