
Women’s Soccer Falls to Georgia Southern

STATESBORO, Ga. - The Coastal Carolina women's soccer team suffered a 4-1 loss to the Georgia Southern Eagles on Sunday afternoon.
- With the loss, Coastal drops to 6-4-2 overall and 0-2-1 in Sun Belt Conference play.
- Georgia Southern took the lead in the 20th minute when Kaitlin Cook scored on an assist from Caitlin Conroy.
- Coastal answered right back in the 24th minute when Olivia Goretski scored her fifth goal of the season.
- In the 39th minute, the Eagles pushed back out ahead when Anna Braziunas found the back of the net.
- Georgia Southern added goals in the 50th and 79th minutes to secure the 4-1 wins.
- At full time, Georgia Southern held a 15-12 advantage in shots and 5-4 lead in corner kicks.
- The Chants will return to action on Oct. 3 to face Troy at 6 p.m. ET.
