Volleyball Heads to Jacksonville for Dolphin Volleyball Classic

CONWAY, S.C. – Coastal Carolina travels to Jacksonville, Fla., for three matches at the Dolphin Volleyball Classic inside Swisher Gymnasium. The Chanticleers will face UConn and host Jacksonville on Friday before closing the tournament against Florida A&M on Saturday.
Coastal opens the tournament against UConn at 11 a.m. Friday and returns to the court to face Jacksonville at 7 p.m. The Chants will take on Florida A&M at 5 p.m. Saturday.
Live statistics will be available for all three matches. The tournament will not be streamed.

• UConn enters the tournament with an 0-3 record after dropping matches to High Point, No. 10 Penn State and Hofstra at the Penn State Invitational.
• The Huskies took High Point to five sets in their season opener before suffering a pair of three-set losses.
• Freshman middle blocker Courtney Grayson was named to the Penn State Invitational All-Tournament Team after totaling 23 kills and eight blocks while hitting .526.

• Abbie Tuyo leads Jacksonville with 39 kills and is hitting .427. Jaylyn Tuiasosopo has added 25 kills and a team-high eight service aces, while Claire Mrukowski has 24 kills.
• Haley Yount, the preseason ASUN Player and Defensive Player of the Year, earned the conference's first Defensive Player of the Week award after leading Jacksonville with 15 blocks during the opening weekend.
