High School: Named South Carolina Division II All-Region and Spartanburg Herald-Journal All-Area as a senior after 46 punts for a 40.2 yard average, breaking a 26-year old school record for single-season average... Had 24 punts inside the 20 and a career-best of 66 yards, one yard short of the school record... Named Ray Guy Camp 'Punter of the Week' last summer... Two-time Special Teams Player of the Week and named the team[apos]s Special Teams MVP in 2004... Was the sixth-ranked senior punter in the nation according to Scouts.com... Took up punting his junior year due to surgery on pitching elbow... Also was an outfielder and pitcher on the Vikings[apos] baseball team, earning letters his junior and senior seasons...
