High School: Was a Second Team All-Hayward Area Athletic League selection after tallying 95 tackles, nine sacks, six pass breakups and one interception as a senior... Served as team captain for the Dragons and was named the team defensive MVP his final year... Honorable mention All-League at defensive end and tight end his junior year... Also was a varsity track athlete, throwing the shot put, and played baseball as well during his high school career... Was a member of the National Honor Roll...
