Prior to Coastal Carolina: Earned varsity letters his final two years at Laurens ... All-Region 1-AAAA selection at quarterback as a senior after leading the Raiders to an 11-3 mark and a berth in the state semifinals ... Was 127-for-228 for 2,119 yards, 17 touchdowns and just nine interceptions, earning his school[apos]s Wendy[apos]s Heisman nomination ... Had a season-high 288 yards of passing in the final game of the year in the state semifinals against South Pointe ... Had three games of 200 yards of passing or more his senior year ... Also had 97 carries for 180 yards and four touchdowns ... Had 62 punts for 1,973 yards (31.8 average) with a long of 46 and 16 punts inside the 20, earning All-Region honors as well ... Also played golf in each of his four years, earning varsity letters as well as All-Region as a sophomore ... Named to the Who[apos]s Who and voted Class President his sophomore and junior years.
