Biography

2004: Started all 11 games and earned First Team All-Big South Conference honors for the second consecutive season... Led the Chanticleers for the second straight year in tackles with 78, including 41 solo tackles, also a team best... Recorded nine tackles for loss (seventh in the conference), five sacks (tied for fourth in the league) and one interception... Had three games of 10 or more tackles, including a season-best 13 tackles with three sacks in the win over Jacksonville... Also had 10 tackles each at Newberry and against Liberty... Had six tackles and his only interception of the year in the season-opening win at Morehead State... Had seven solo tackles and eight total in the season-finale victory over Charleston Southern... Recorded five or more tackles in nine games...

2003: Was one of Coastal[apos]s first-ever First Team All-Big South players after leading CCU and ranking fourth in the Big South in tackles with 103... Recorded 82 solo tackles, tops among the Big South defensive players and added 17 tackles for loss, including six sacks, three fumbles forced, one fumble recovery and one interception... Earned Big South Defensive Player of the Week, Sept. 8, for his part in the inaugural victory over Newberry after recording 11 tackles, including nine solo and five for loss, and a fumble recovery... Had at least eight tackles in all 11 games and posted five games with 10 or more tackles, including 15 tackles, three for loss, and a forced fumble against VMI, earning his second BSC Player of the Week honor... Also earned the Big South[apos]s weekly honor for his play at Charleston Southern with seven tackles and one forced fumble...

Prior to Coastal: Attended Catawba College, playing football for current CCU head coach David Bennett and helping the team to the South-Atlantic Conference Championship...

High School: Played three years of varsity football, helping the Panthers to a state championship in 1999... Was selected to participate in the 2001 North-South All-Star Football Game... Also lettered twice in basketball...
