2005 All-Big South Second Team


2006 (Senior)

• Played in and started in 11 games for the Chants, missing the playoff game at No. 1 Appalachian State (Nov. 25)
• Totaled 17 tackles on the season, including 14 solo stops
• Also had an interception and one pass breakup
• Registered a season-high three tackles at Winston-Salem State (Sept. 30), at VMI (Oct. 14), and in the regular-season finale versus Charleston Southern (Nov. 18)
• Also had two solo tackles versus South Carolina State (Sept. 23) and against Liberty (Oct. 28)
• Recorded an interception at Wofford (Sept. 9)

2005 (Junior)

• Named second-team All-Big South
• Started in all 11 games
• Posted a career-high 30 tackles, including 17 solo stops
• Recorded a season-high five tackles in road wins at No. 17 South Carolina State (Oct. 1) and Savannah State (Nov. 5)
• Totaled four tackles in the dramatic win over No. 1 James Madison (Sept. 10)
• Also intercepted two passes, one at Elon (Sept. 3) and against Delaware State (Sept. 24)
• Had a fumble recovery in the overtime victory versus Gardner-Webb (Oct. 15)

2004 (Sophomore)

• Saw action in all 11 games, getting one start against Charleston Southern (Nov. 20)
• Recorded 20 tackles and one interception on the season
• Posted a season-high nine tackles, eight of which were solo stops, and an interception in helping CCU defeat Charleston Southern and win the Big South title

2003 (Freshman)

• Played in all 11 games as a true freshman in the Chanticleers' inaugural season
• Started at cornerback in four contests
• Recorded 13 tackles and six pass breakups
• Also had 0.5 tackle-for-loss
• Posted three tackles against Gardner-Webb (Oct. 4) and at Charleston Southern (Nov. 22)
• A member of CCU's 2003 recruiting class

High School

• Earned all-state, all-region, and all-area accolades from the High School Sports Report
• Also earned all-area honors from The State
• Named to the Class 4A All-State team his senior year
• Three-time winner of the team's Most Valuable Defensive Back award
• Selected to play in the 2002 Shrine Bowl, representing the top 48 players in South Carolina
• Led his team to an 18-5 mark his final two years
• Recorded 146 tackles and 13 interceptions in his three years on the varsity team
• Totaled 62 tackles and five interceptions his senior season
• Was on the same high school team as Coastal teammate Brett Porterfield
• Also lettered in track & field where he was a two-time all-region honoree
• Qualified for the indoor nationals in the long jump
• Was a member of the National Honor Society and the honor roll
