- Lined up at quarterback and also on the hands team for onside kickoff return

2019 (Sophomore)
- Played in 11 of the Chants' 12 games, starting the last six contests of the season
- Had a streak of 122-straight pass attempts without an interception to start the year
- Took every snap for the CCU offense at Georgia Southern (Oct. 19) and against Troy (Nov. 2)
- Was 93-for-142 in passing on the season for 927 yards, eight touchdowns, and two interceptions
- Led the team with a 65.5 completion percentage on the year (minimum 10 attempts)
- Completed over 60 percent of his passes in six of the 11 games he played, including a season-high 91 percent of his passes versus Texas State (Nov. 30)
- Also rushed 109 times for 390 yards and a score
- Completed a season-long 51-yard pass twice, at ULM (Nov. 23) and against Texas State (Nov. 30)
- Had a career game in the win over Troy (Nov. 2), going 32-for-45 through the air with 285 yards and one touchdown
- His 32 pass completions versus the Trojans were the second-most in a single game in CCU history behind only Alex Ross who completed 34 passes at Elon in 2014
- With his career-high in passing yards versus Troy (Nov. 2), Carpenter became just the ninth quarterback in CCU’s young history to pass for over 1,000 career yards

- Was twice named the BAM Offensive Player of the Week, coming at Louisiana (Sept. 22) and at Troy (Sept. 29)
- Was 37-for-55 in passing on the season with five touchdowns and two interceptions
- Also rushed 57 times for 194 yards on the year
- Was 2-for-5 through the air and threw his first career touchdown pass in his collegiate debut at South Carolina (Sept. 1)
- Was a perfect 2-for-2 for 25 yards and a touchdown, and rushed six times for 56 yards on the ground in the road win at Campbell (Sept. 12)
- Came in late in the game at Louisiana and went 5-for-5 for 82 yards and a touchdown in the win
- Completed 18-for-22 passes for 172 yards and a touchdown, all season highs, in the start at Troy
- Also carried the ball 18 times for 24 yards versus the Trojans
