• Lettered in football at Cocoa High School for head coach Ryan Schneider during his senior year
• Also played at Space Coast High School before transferring to Cocoa High School
• Was a Sports Illustrated All-American candidate 
• Named to the Florida Today Dandy Dozen, which ranks the top high school football players in the Brevard Country area
• Guided Cocoa to a 10-1 record and a No. 19 ranking in the state of Florida, according to MaxPreps during his senior season
• In 10 games as a senior, teams rarely threw his way as he tallied 12 tackles with nine pass deflections and one forced fumble
• As a junior, he had 27 tackles and a 52-yard pick-six
• Had a season-high nine tackles against rival Rockledge HS in 2020
• A member of the A-B honor roll at Cocoa
• Chose Missouri over Coastal Carolina, Pittsburgh, Virginia, Washington State, UConn, Florida Atlantic, UMass, and Florida A&M
