Cross Country

• Participated in four events
• Finished ninth in the Chanticleer Challenge 8k with a personal-best time of 26:53.7
• Set a personal-best in the 6k at the Charleston Southern Buccaneer open with a time of 20:54.5

2023 (Freshman)
Cross Country

• Ran in three of the season's six meets during his first year with the Chants
• His personal-best finish came in the season opener in Charleston, coming in 18th with a 19:57.1 time
• He later competed in the Chanticleer Challenge and the Upstate Invitational, finishing 21st in the former

High School

• Attended Whitfield H.S. in St. Louis, Mo.
• Began competing in both track and field and cross country during his freshman year
• Lettered all four years in both track and cross country
• Served one year as track and field team captain
• Served two years as cross country team captain
• Participated in the 800m, 1600m, 3200m, 4x400m, and 4x800m for track and field
• Ran in the 5k for cross country
• Also played on the Whitfield soccer team, positioned as a defender, midfielder and forward, lettering each season
• Won a combined 32 team medals, across all sports, during his high school career
• Won two State Championship medals, one for varsity soccer and one for track and field (4x800m)
• Won 10 individual Sectional/District medals for track and field and six for soccer
• Set a Whitfield High School record in the 800m, 1600m and 4x800m relays, respectively
• Set three consecutive personal records in the 1 mile, posting a 4.22 finish at the state finals his senior year
• Listed on the honor roll and the dean’s list all four years of high school
• Finished with a 3.6 GPA
• Member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes
• Father, Bill Brungart, played college hockey for the University of Missouri St. Louis (1997-1999)
