South Carolina makes its first trip to Conway since 2011 for a single game on April 14, while N.C. State visits for a doubleheader on April 1. Virginia Tech, Ole Miss and Boston College, meanwhile, will each take part in one of Coastal's four home tournaments in February.
"We have an impressive schedule organized for the upcoming season," Green said. "We have a very diverse group of strong programs visiting Conway. Fans will be able to see an exciting brand of softball being played this year in our new stadium."
In addition, the Chanticleers will play two games against national power and 2014 College World Series participant Florida State on March 6 and 8 in a tournament hosted by Florida Atlantic and once again meet North Carolina. Coastal, which no-hit the Tar Heels in a 3-0 victory last season, will travel to Chapel Hill for a single game on March 12.
The Chants open their season on February 6 when they take on new Big Ten member Maryland and Lafayette as part of the KIckin' Chicken Classic, which also includes Virginia Tech.
Ole Miss will join Big 12 member Iowa State and St. Bonaventure in the Battle @ The Beach from Feb. 13-15. The Chanticleer Showdown (Feb. 20-22) will feature Boston College along with Murray State and Sacred Heart. CCU will finish its home tournaments with the Coastal Carolina Invitational Feb. 27-March 1.
The two-time defending Big South regular-season champion Chanticleers will open conference play with a series at Longwood on March 17 and 18. They will then host consecutive series against Campbell and Winthrop to wrap up the month of March. Radford visits on April 11 and 12, and Coastal closes out the regular season at home against Presbyterian on April 25-26.
The other conference road trips are to Gardner-Webb, Liberty and Charleston Southern. The Big South Tournament will be held at Campbell May 7-10.
Other nonconference contests in the 56-game schedule include regional matchups at College of Charleston on Feb. 18 and a doubleheader versus UNC Wilmington at home on April 7.
