Kevin Holmes Jr. made his Chanticleer debut, scoring seven points and grabbing five rebounds.

The Series vs. Wofford
• Coastal Carolina and Wofford have never met in a men's basketball contest despite the two Palmetto State campuses being located less than 250 miles apart.
• Coastal Carolina is 37-35 all-time against current members of the Southern Conference. CCU is 6-4 against The Citadel, 0-2 versus Chattanooga, 3-4 against East Tennessee State, 1-4 against Furman, 1-1 against Mercer, 2-11 against UNC Greensboro, 19-6 versus VMI and 5-3 against Western Carolina. The Chanticleers have never played SoCon member Samford.
Up Next
• The Chanticleers stay on the road and travel to ACC member Wake Forest for a 7:00 p.m. tipoff on Fri., Dec. 18. Coastal and Wake Forest have met on three prior occasions with the Demon Deacons winning in 1986 and 1998, while the Chants captured a 106-04 overtime win in 1987.
Shaw Finding His Rhythm
• After seeing both his shooting percentage and minutes fall and his turnovers rise in losses to Campbell and Auburn, Jaylen Shaw has rebounded in a strong way with arguably his two best games of the season in leading the Chants to wins over Radford and NC Wesleyan.
• Shaw shot 50.0 percent from the field and scored 12 points against Radford then shot 75.0 percent and tallied a career-high 18 points in the NC Wesleyan victory. He ranks fourth on the team at 11.3 points per game, but his 48.8 field goal percentage leads the squad among players who have taken at least 80 shots.
• Shaw has also been much more careful with the ball over the last two games, dishing out 12 assists against only two turnovers.
Notes From The NC Wesleyan Game
• Freshman forward Kevin Holmes Jr. made his collegiate debut with seven points and five rebound in 14 minutes off the bench. The 6-9 Virginian went 3-of-6 from the floor and 1-of-1 at the free-throw line.
• Badou Diagne recorded his third double-double of the season with 11 points and 11 rebounds. He now has 16 career double-doubles.
• Elijah Wilson scored a team-high 22 points, marking his third 20-plus point game of the season and 13th of his career. Wilson did not record a 20-plus point effort last season until the 28th game of the year (Feb. 19 vs. Campbell).
• Jaylen Shaw's seven assists marked the fifth seven-plus assist effort by a Chanticleer this season.
Chanticleers Leading The Big South Stats
• Coastal Carolina leads the Big South Conference in four statistical categories: Scoring Margin (+13.0), Field Goal Percentage Defense (.375), Rebound Per Game (40.9) and Defensive Rebounds Per Game (28.67).
