CONWAY - Alexis Robinson had a game-high 21 points to lead Coastal Carolina to a 91-49 win over Pfeiffer University.
Robinson had plenty of scoring help as four Chanticleers joined Robinson in double digits. Rachel Gregory scored 18, Kennedy Archer had 14 and Yasmin Miller finished with 12.
Coastal (3-3) had their best shooting game of the season knocking down 55 percent of their field goals.
CCU had two big runs during the second half to blow the game open. They came out of the locker room and made a 24-7 run and in the final quarter had a 20-5 run.
The 91 points are the most points CCU has scored on the young season besting their previous season-high of 72 points in a win over IPFW.
CCU's defense played a big part in the win, forcing 30 turnovers which they were able to turn into 34 points. Gregory and Ced Gibson had four steals each as CCU finished with 20 steals.
Pfeiffer (3-2) could only manage shooting 33 percent from the field. The Falcons did manage to knock down eight three point field goals. Meg Pritchard was the only Falcon to reach double digits with 16 points.
CCU shot 48 percent in the opening two quarters on its way to building a 41-28 halftime lead. The game stood 23-19 with 9:23 left in the second quarter, but CCU turned up its defense which led to a 11-0 run over the next five minutes to build a 34-19 lead.
Pfeiffer stayed close by hitting five three point field goals with Pritchard leading the way hitting all three of her treys and scoring 14 first half points.
CCU had two double-digit scorers in the opening two quarters with Robinson scoring 11 and Gregory adding 10.
Coastal Carolina will hit the road for their next game, a 6 p.m. game at Wofford, Monday, Dec. 5.
