Lacrosse Teams With 'Project LocaLove' to Help the Homeless

CONWAY - Coastal Carolina's lacrosse team is partnering with "Project LocaLove" for a charity game at Brooks Stadium on Sunday, March 13 (2:00 p.m.), to help the homeless of Horry County, S.C.
The Chanticleers, who play host to Kennesaw State, will be accepting donations of the following unopened toiletries: shampoo, conditioner, lotion, shaving cream, razors, toothpaste, toothbrushes, socks, lunch boxes and backpacks.
Attendees who donate one or more of the aforementioned items will receive a complimentary t-shirt. All products collected will be donated to homeless communities, shelters and soup kitchens across Horry County. Admission to the game is free.
Chanticleers senior attacker Rachel Ferrara, who played a key role in getting her team on board with the project, is proud the Coastal Carolina lacrosse family is stepping up to lend a hand to the homeless of Horry County.
"The money raised and items collected will enable us to make a positive impact on the lives of those in need in our community," said Ferrara. "Our team would like to give a huge thank you to everyone who has donated so far, and to all who will be supporting `Project LocaLove' at our game on March 13."
"Project LocaLove" is a concept created by North Myrtle Beach local, 11-year-old, Grayson. The Ocean Drive Elementary student formed the project to help the homeless population in Horry County.
