CONWAY - Lily Yednock, who played on Coastal Carolina's inaugural lacrosse team in 2013, has been named to the 30-person Chinese National Lacrosse team.
The 30 players will train as Team China and will have the opportunity to make the final team of 18 that will go on to play in the 2017 FIL Rathbones Women's Lacrosse World Cup next summer (July 12-122) in England.
Yednock hails from Columbus, Ohio, but was eligible for the Chinese National Team as she was born in China and moved to America after she was adopted at the age of four.
Yednock spent three seasons with the Chanticleers (playing 2013 and 2014 before suffering a season-ending injury two games into the 2015 season). She was the 2013 Big South Lacrosse Scholar-Athlete of the Year, a two-time All-Big South honoree (second team in 2013 and honorable mention in 2014) and was named Academic All-Big South twice (2013 and 2014).
