
Chanticleers Release 2019 Lacrosse Schedule

CONWAY - The 2019 Coastal Carolina women's lacrosse schedule features 17 total matches, nine of which will be home games played at Brooks Stadium. Of the 17 contests, five will be against opponents the Chants have never faced in the program's history, four of which will be making their first trip to Conway.
Coastal opens the 2019 season with back-to-back home games against former conference foes Old Dominion and Campbell. The season opener is set for Feb. 9 against former ASUN foe Old Dominion, while the Chants will close out the first month of play on Feb. 20 hosting former Big South opponent Campbell.
A short jaunt to Rock Hill, S.C. to take on Winthrop (March 6) opens up the month of March. The Chants then travel to Newark, Del., to take on Delaware on March 9, followed by a road trip to Harrisonburg, Va., to play the defending national champions in James Madison on March 16.
The Chanticleers return home for five-straight games beginning with UConn (March 19) and William & Mary (March 24), before opening up conference play against ASUN newcomer Kent State on March 26. CCU will continue its home stand with conference matches against both Howard (March 29) and Liberty (March 31).
Coastal Carolina will then travel to defending ASUN champions Jacksonville on April 5 and continue to Deland, Fla. to battle Stetson two days later on April 7.
Mercer (April 12) and Kennesaw State (April 14) will visit Conway in mid-April, before the Chants return to the road for the final three games of the regular season. Central Michigan will welcome the Chanticleers on April 18, followed by Detroit Mercy on April 20. CCU will close out the regular season against Elon on April 28.
The 2019 ASUN Women's Lacrosse Championship will be held in Conway, S.C., as Coastal Carolina will host the conference tournament in Brooks Stadium on May 2 and May 4.
