Five Chants Named to the 2018 IWLCA Zag Sports Academic Honor Roll

CONWAY – Coastal Carolina's Haley Alexander, Madeline Bromley, Megan Kilpatrick, Haley Kyger and Gabby Vujanic were five of 462 student-athletes from 105 different institutions on the 2018 IWLCA Zag Sports Division I Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.
The Chanticleers was recognized as a 2018 IWLCA Zag Sports Academic Honor Squad, an honor that recognizes teams with a 3.0 or higher team GPA for the academic year. Since the 2013 inception of lacrosse, as a varsity sport, the Chants have been recognized by the IWLCA for its academic achievements in each of the six years.
Alexander, a two-time ASUN All-Academic team and three-time Dean's List member, led the team with 69 points with 51 goals. Bromley, a unanimous ASUN All-Academic team member, started all 16 games tallying 41 points with 15 goals and 26 assists. Kilpatrick, a Pennsauken, N.J. native, earned 2018 ASUN All-Conference as a defender and scoring two goals on the season. Kyger, named to the 2018 ASUN All-Conference team and the All-Academic team, was second on the team with 66 points on 43 goals and 23 assists. Vujanic, was expecting a breakout senior year and was unable to perform was named to the President's List.
As a team, Coastal finished with an overall record of 10-9 and 4-1 in conference play and earned its consecutive spot in the ASUN Championship game.
