Gamecock Inaugural Day Two Results (PDF)

COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina women's indoor track and field squad wrapped up the Gamecock Inaugural on Saturday afternoon at the South Carolina Indoor Track and Field Complex with two more top ten finishes.

Senior Sammy Jo Layko finished in fifth place in the weight throw competition as the senior achieved a personal best throw of 16.37 meters.

Prior to today's event,  Layko's personal best was set at 16.00 meters and Saturday saw the Crotan, North Carolina native surpassing that mark two other times with 16.11 meters and 16.22 meters in her fifth and sixth throws respectively.

In the 4000 distance medley, Alyssa LeClaire, Rebecca Lehman, Heather Delaplaine and Cameron Rice finished eighth with a time of 13.26.20.

Earlier in the day, Lehman also competed in the 800 meters as the freshman finished with a time of 2:33.38.
