Pieterse Named Sun Belt Runner of the Week

NEW ORLEANS, LA. – Coastal Carolina junior Michael Pieterse of the men's cross-country team has been named this week's Sun Belt Runner of the Week for the first time in his career, the conference announced Tuesday.
Last week, Pieterse clocked a time of 27:07 at the Queen City Invite 8k as he crossed the finish line as the top Chanticleer runner on the day. Pieterse finished in 63rd-place out of 332 runners.
The Myrtle Beach, S.C. native led CCU to a 16th-place team overall out of 41 teams.
