CONWAY – The Coastal Carolina women's basketball team will host the UNCG Spartans on Wednesday, Nov. 13, at the HTC Center with the opening tip scheduled for 6 p.m. The Chanticleers enter the matchup with a 1-0 record on the season.

Coastal picked up a 76-69 victory over Arkansas at Pine Bluff on Friday, Nov. 8, with senior center
Naheria Hamilton recording her 20th career double-double with 22 points and 15 rebounds. Aside from Hamilton hitting for the double-double, the Chants had two others record double figures for points. Newcomer
Zacharyia Esmon totaled 20 points in her first career game as a Chanticleer while senior guard
Torrie Cash scored 10 points and committed just one turnover in 38 minutes of action.
COASTAL vs. UNCG HISTORY
The Chants and Spartans have met a total of 20 times on the hardwood with UNCG holding a 13-7 advantage.
In the two teams last meeting, Coastal picked up a 78-71 overtime victory in Greensboro, N.C. in the final non-conference game in the 2018-19 season.
CCU's
DJ Williams led the Chants with 19 points in the overtime win while Hamilton picked up her second double-double of the season with 17 points and 12 rebounds.
Caitlin Roche and
Breelyn Blanding chipped in 15 and 16 points, respectively.
SCOUTING UNCG
The Spartans entered the season with Te'ja Twitty needing just 26 points to reach the 1,000 career point plateau and Nadine Soliman potentially becoming the first player in UNCG history with 2,000 career points.
In the early part of the season, the Spartans have a 1-1 record with an opening day loss to Richmond before rebounding to get a 67-65 win over Wake Forest of the Atlantic Coast Conference.
Soliman, Twitty, and Aja Boyd lead the offensive attack for UNCG with all averaging in double figures. Soliman leads the team in scoring with 20.5 points per game. Boyd is second on the team with 13.0 points per game while Twitty is averaging 10.0 points per game.
