Sigurvinsdottir and Miller Named Sun Belt All-Conference on Tuesday

Coastal Carolina women’s soccer team had two earn all-conference honors
New Orleans, La. – Coastal Carolina's junior Sunny Sigurvinsdottir and senior Hannah Miller were named to the Sun Belt All-Conference teams as announced by the league office on Tuesday, Nov. 5. The all-conference honors and specialty awards were voted on by the conference's women soccer head coaches.
Sigurvinsdottir had a breakout year tallying six goals on the season with two game-winners while being named to the Sun Belt All-Conference first team. In conference action, the Selfoss, Iceland native, scored two goals with the first goal being the eventual game-winner over Georgia State on Oct. 11. The second goal in Sun Belt play was the first goal in the 3-2 double-overtime loss to eventual regular-season champion South Alabama.
Miller earned her second Sun Belt All-Conference second-team selection while scoring four of her six goals in conference play while also picking up an assist. The Lenexa, Kan. native, tallied two game-winning goals on the year with the first coming in the 1-0 victory over Appalachian State to snap a two-game losing skid to the Mountaineers. Against ULM in the season finale, Miller hit her second game-winner of the year in the 1-0 win against the Warhawks.
The No. 4 seeded Chanticleers will travel to Foley, Ala. to take on the Georgia State Panthers in a rematch of the first round of the 2018 Sun Belt Championships on Wednesday, Nov. 6. The opening kick-off is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET.
