ELON, N.C. – The Coastal Carolina men's tennis team suffered its second loss in as many days Monday afternoon, falling 4-0 at Elon.
 
Coastal falls to 9-5 overall with loss, and returns to Conway tomorrow (Tuesday) to host Fairfield in its final nonconference match of the season. First serve is set for noon at the Stevens Tennis Complex.
 
Coastal started off Monday's doubles round well, with the Chants' third pairing of Francesco Cori and Daiki Tanabe winning 6-2. Elon then rallied to take the opening point, winning by identical 7-5 scores on the first and second courts.
 
Elon won all three of its singles points in straight sets. Mario Paccini started off singles with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Pyry Hyrkkonen at No. 2. Felipe Osses-Konig then defeated Joel Popov on the third court, 6-4, 6-1. Kyle Frankel clinched the match for Elon with a 6-1, 6-2 win against Gonzalo Achondo at No. 4.
 
Following Tuesday's home match against Fairfield, Coastal begins its Sun Belt Conference schedule on the road this Saturday at Troy, followed by a match Sunday at South Alabama.
