Opening Tip
• Coastal Carolina enters the second round game of the CBI with a 6-2 record overall in the CBI Tournament (two tournaments).
• CCU's win over West Virginia was the second consecutive win and is the fourth time this season CCU has won consecutive games.
• Tonight's game against DePaul is the first time the two teams have met on the basketball court.
• Both teams enter the game with 17 wins ... The win total for CCU is three more wins than they had last season.
• The 109 points scored by CCU against West Virginia, was the most points the Chanticleers had scored since they scored 116 against Piedmont International during the 2015-16 season.
• CCU had one of its best shooting games of the season at West Virginia, finishing the game shooting 58 percent (43-74).
• The Chants hit 13 three-point field goals, tied for the second most in a single game this season ... They had 28 attempts meaning they shot 46 percent.
• CCU did not make many trips to the free throw line, but when they did they made it count ... They hit 10 of their 12 attempts.
• The Chants gave up 91 points to West Virginia, tying the season opponents-high ... They also gave up 91 points at Louisiana Monroe ... The Chants won both of those games.
• CCU had all five players reach double digits for the first time this season and had six players in double digits for the first time this season.
• This is the 13th time in Head Coach Cliff Ellis' career one of his post season team's has at the least made it into the second round in a national post-season tournament.
• With Zac Cuthbertson's 15 points at West Virginia, the senior has now scored 597 points this season ... It is the third-most points in a season in CCU program history.
• His 274 rebounds this year is the fifth-most in single-season program history, passing Jim Cabe who had 272 during the 1976-77 season.
• Zac also has 170 made free throws this season which is one off the mark of 171 free throws made in a single season by Robert Dowdell back during the 1989-90 season ... He didn't attempt a free throw in the game at West Virginia, it was the first game this season in which Cuthbertson did not attempt a free throw.
• His 223 free throw attempts is the most in a single season in CCU history.
• Cuthbertson is averaging 16.47 points per game during his two-year 63-game CCU career heading into tonight's game ... He is fifth in CCU career history with that ppg number ... Only trailing Howard White (26.9); Tony Dunkin (20.7); KeKe Hicks (20.5); and Manuel Jessup (19.1).
• Zac has 314 made free throws during his career, fourth all-time; and 404 free throws attempts, tied for seventh all-time ... His .777 free throw percentage is also tied for seventh. 
• Despite only starting three games this season, Tyrell Gumbs-Frater has made 73 three-point field goals ... hitting 44 percent on the season. 
• During their first appearance in the CBI (2017), the Chants defeated Hampton, Loyola and Illinois-Chicago to make it into the best two-of-three championship finals ... After defeating Wyoming in the first game, CCU made the trip to Laramie where they lost the next two games to the Cowboys.
• CCU is 9-10 all-time in post-season tournaments.
• Zac Cuthbertson became the 22nd player in CCU history to score 1,000 career points ... He became just the third player to do it in two seasons.
• Cuthbertson was named Second Team All-Sun Belt.
• DeVante Jones was named the Sun Belt Freshman of the Year ... An impressive honor considering he missed 12 games after an injury in the second game of the season.
• Head Coach Cliff Ellis has led the Chanticleers to eight of the program's nine post-season appearances ... He has led teams he has coached to 26 in all.

• DePaul enters the game scoring 100 points in their CBI Opening Round win over Central Michigan and 97 points in their win over Longwood in the second round ... DePaul averages 78.2 points per game.
