Complete Poll and Preseason Team

CONWAY – The Coastal Carolina men's soccer team has been picked to win the Sun Belt Conference by a vote of the conference coaches released today by the Sun Belt Conference.

The Chants picked up two first-place votes and 28 points overall to narrowly edge last year's champion Georgia State and Georgia Southern who tied for second with 27 points.  Georgia State picked up two first-place votes with Georgia Southern gaining one.
 
Conference newcomer Central Arkansas was picked fourth in the conference picking up the final first-place vote and received 22 points overall. UCA is another strong soccer program that played in the NCAA Soccer Championship last season after winning the Missouri Valley Conference tournament.
 
Appalachian State (15 points) and Howard (7 points) rounded out the preseason poll.
 
The Chants had two players picking up preseason honors led by senior Tsiki Ntsabeleng who has been named the Sun Belt Conference Preseason Offensive Player of the Year. Ntsabeleng is coming off a season which saw him named to the 2018 First Team All-Sun Belt team and also picked up the 2018 Sun Belt Newcomer of the Year award. He is the leading returning scorer in the Sun Belt with 18 points (6 goals, 6 assists).

Jeranimo Power is also a returning First Team All-Sun Belt pick from last season. The midfielder has shown his leadership with the team and will also represent the Chants as one of the team captains in 2019.
