NEW ORLEANS, LA. - On Tuesday afternoon, Coastal Carolina pitcher Raelee Brabham was named the Sun Belt Pitcher of the Week for her performance during last weekend's Ripley's Chanticleer Showdown.
The Moncks Corner, S.C., native, threw two complete shutout victories over Seton Hall and UMBC. On Saturday, Brabham would earn the 7-0 victory as she allowed two hits with a career-high 10 strikeouts on 145 pitches. In Sunday's 4-0 win over UMBC, the righty picked up her third consecutive complete game shutout victory on the season with 82 pitches, improving to an impressive 5-0 on the year.
In 2020, Braham has logged 30.1 innings and leads the Sun Belt Conference in wins and earned run average. The Chanticleer starter's .46 earned run average is also good for the ninth-best mark in the NCAA.
In her last four appearances, Brabham has dealt 20.2 innings of scoreless softball with a record of 4-0.
