This weekend Coastal beat Liberty to officially clinch the Big South regular season championship!
Coastal is currently ranked 9th in District 3 by the NCAA. Coastal is ranked 10th in the Nation for service aces.
On Sunday Coastal beat Radford 3-0 (15-5, 15-7, 15-5). The match lasted for one hour and fifteen minutes. Coastal was led by Emma Prowse with 20 kills (.469 hitting %) and 4 blocks. Roberta Croteau had 19 kills (.395 hitting %). Amy Bambenek had 9 kills, 2 aces and 20 digs. Autumn Staub added 9 kills. Wendy Kutz had 6 kills and 2 aces. Michelle Shepherd had 3 aces and 13 assists. Colette Pawlyk had 38 assists. Alicia Pulchinski added 2 aces. Amy O'Neil and Nicole Burns also played.
On Saturday Coastal beat Liberty 3-1 (15-8, 15-7, 11-15, 15-12). Coastal was led by Roberta Croteau who had 19 kills and 3 aces. Amy Bambenek had 16 kills and 15 digs. Wendy Kutz added 12 kills, Emma Prowse 11, and Autumn Staub 9. Colette Pawlyk, Michelle Shepherd, Alicia Pulchinski, Amy O'Neil, and Nicole Burns also played.
