Barrett and Alexander Named to ASUN Women’s Lacrosse All-Decade Team

ATLANTA, Ga. – Coastal Carolina women's lacrosse standouts Harley Barrett and Haley Alexander were both named to the 2013-20 ASUN Women's Lacrosse All-Decade Team, the league office announced today.
A two-time ASUN Defensive Player of the Year, earning the conference honor in both 2018 and 2019, Barrett manned the goal for the Chanticleers from 2016-19. Selected to play in the IWLCA Senior All-Star game following her career at CCU, Barrett was a three-time first-team ASUN all-conference selection (2017, 2018, and 2019) and was an eight-time ASUN Defensive Player of the Week honoree.
Barrett, who was also named to the 2017 ASUN Championship All-Tournament team, in which she helped to lead the Chants to the championship title game, played in 60 games over her four-year career, starting in 54 contests. She logged 3000:06 minutes in goal, recording 487 career saves, posted a save percentage of .490, and finished her career with a 10.14 goals-against average. She is CCU's career leader in saves (487), save percentage (.490), wins (34), and grounds balls by a goalkeeper (105).
Coastal Carolina's 2019 NCAA Woman of the Year nominee, Alexander was tabbed the 2019 ASUN Player of the Year her senior season in which totaled 10 hat-tricks and a total of 15 multiple-goal games, set CCU individual season records with 73 points and 55 goals, which ranked 30th nationally. A two-time ASUN all-conference first team selection and a member of the 2019 ASUN Championship All-Tournament team, the Maryland native finished her collegiate career with 225 career points on 172 goals and 53 assists.
Alexander holds the CCU career records in points (225), goals (172), shots (322), shots on goal (256), ground balls (110), and is tied for the career lead in draw controls (147), games played (74), and games started (74).
To be named to the All-Decade Team, individuals must have competed for at least two years in the decade as an ASUN student-athlete.
Individuals that obtained one of the following criteria were named to the team:
- Three first-team all-conference selections, four all-conference selections or multiple Scholar-Athlete/Player of the Year awards.
Individuals that obtained at least two of the following criteria were named to the team:
- Player/Freshman/Defensive Player/Scholar-Athlete of the Year/Tournament MVP, three all-conference selections, two first-team All-Conference selections.
