BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Coastal Carolina University women's golf team finished 11th overall at the Olde Stone Intercollegiate after completing play with a 54-hole team score of +52, 916 at the Club at Olde Stone.
Tiffany Arafi was the low-scorer for the Chants finishing with a seven-over 223 and finishing the event tied for 14th.
Sophia Carlsen's 74 in Tuesday's round was the lowest round of the day for the Chants and placed her in a tie for 24th with a 10-over 226.
Sara Sarrion shot a 17-over 233 to finish tied for 44th, while
Luisa Gibson finished tied for 50th after carding an 18-over 234.
Maika Llarena finished 71st with a 46-over 261.
The course played tough all three rounds as none of the teams were able to break par. Sam Houston State won the team competition with a 10-over 874. Kennesaw State finished second with a 19-over 883. Rounding out the top five on the team leaderboard were Louisville (+22, 886), Campbell (+25, 889), and Charleston Southern (+44, 908).
Indiana was sixth with a 45-over 909, while Santa Clara and Notre Dame were tied for seventh with a 47-over 911. Western Kentucky finished ninth (+48, 912) followed by Middle Tennessee (+50, 914). CCU (+52, 916) finished two shots back of Middle Tennessee while Cincinnati (+70, 934) and South Alabama (+83, 947) completed the field.
The Chants will be back in action in the spring when they travel to Augusta, Ga., to play in the annual Valspar Augusta Invitational at Forest Hills Golf Club.
