DALLAS – The Coastal Carolina beach volleyball duo of Ellie Hanford and Natalie Honzovicova has been selected as the CUSA Pair of the week, the conference office announced on Wednesday.

This is the third time in the program's young history that a pair has won the conference weekly honor, as the team of Irena Drobnjak and Sarlota Svobodova earned it once last season from the ASUN.

Last weekend, the Hanford and Honzovicova team went a perfect 4-0 at the CofC Invite, winning every match by way of straight sets. They won Saturday at the No. 3 flight against FGCU by a similar score of 21-18 and then defeated Morehead State by a similar score of 21-15. On Sunday, the pair won 21-15, 21-11 over Jacksonville and 21-12, 21-10 against Eastern Kentucky.

The first-year duo on the year has a record of 14-1.

The Sandy Chants (11-4) will be back in action this weekend as they host the Coastal Carolina Invitational, March 19-20.
