CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina softball team will continue its nine-game road stretch, as the Chanticleers are set for a non-conference midweek matchup against Campbell on Wednesday, April 6.
The Chants and Camels will face off at 4:00 p.m. ET at Amanda Littljohn Stadium in Buies Creek, N.C.

CHANTS' LAST TIME OUT
Coastal Carolina dropped a three-game Sun Belt Conference series on the road against South Alabama in Mobile, Ala., on April 1-3.
The Jaguars took Friday's contest by a score of 4-0 before the Chants rally in game two came up short, falling 3-2. USA tallied a 3-0 victory on Sunday.
Payton Ebersole led the offensive efforts at the plate for Coastal, as the sophomore finished the weekend hitting .333 in six at-bats. The Dillsburg, PA native recorded two hits, one RBI, and a walk while also tallying seven putouts.
CAMELS' LAST TIME OUT
Campbell is coming off a weekend sweep of North Carolina A&T by a three-game combined score of 16-0.
The Camel's earned an 8-0 (5 inn.) run-rule win on Sunday afternoon to sweep the series to tally their sixth consecutive win. Tyra Parker went 3-for-3 with an RBI triple while Diana Parker went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Delaney McDilda and Noemi Cortez both added RBI for the Camels. CU took advantage of three errors by NC A&T, scoring three runs off of miscues by the Aggies.
ALL-TIME SERIES
A series that dates back to 1987, CCU holds a 56-17 record over Campbell University. Coastal took the first-ever meeting, 8-5, on March 13, 1987, and most recently hold a two-game winning streak over the Camels after the Chants recorded a 6-4 victory on April 21, 2021.
HOME RUN CLINIC
The Chanticleers have hit 46 total home runs while opponents have hit just 29. So far this season, 10 different Coastal players have hit home runs.
Iyanla De Jesus took the reins of the offensive efforts for Coastal, as the junior recorded her team-leading ninth home run against the Jaguars.
Keirstin Roose is close behind, having recorded eight homers.
Riley Zana has recorded seven, while
Abbey Montoya and
Ebersole have each recorded five.
Maddy Jennings (4), Madison Hudson (4), Makiya Thomas (2), Jay Wrightsman (1), and
Abby Jankay (1) have also contributed to Coastal's home run tally.
ONE HIT WONDER
For the second time in her career,
Kaitlin Beasley-Polko allowed just one hit on the road against Winthrop on March 29. The graduate student tallied this feat just once before, on May 7, 2021, with an 8-0 victory against App State.
