LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Coastal Carolina softball standout Georgia Hood has been named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Region Third Team, marking the third consecutive season she has earned NFCA All-Region honors.
 
Hood was a driving force in the Chanticleers' lineup throughout the 2026 campaign, leading the team in home runs (21), RBIs (59), slugging percentage (.777), and on-base percentage (.456).
 
The junior also posted a team-best 18 multi-hit games and 17 multi-RBI performances on the season, consistently delivering in key moments for Coastal.
 
Among Sun Belt Conference leaders, Hood paced the league with 23 home runs and 62 RBIs, numbers that ranked 13th and 35th nationally, respectively.  She also etched her name into the Coastal record book, finishing tied for the most home runs and fourth-most RBIs in a single season in program history.
