Coastal Carolina Set to Face No. 10/11 Charlotte on Wednesday

CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina men's soccer team (2-2-2 overall) remains on the road to face No. 10/11 nationally-ranked Charlotte in a non-conference matchup on Wednesday, Sept. 21.
The 49ers, who picked up national attention in both the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 poll and the TopDrawerSoccer.com Week 5 poll, enter the match at 6-0-0 overall.
COASTAL VS. CHARLOTTE
Wednesday will mark the 17th all-time meeting between Coastal Carolina and Charlotte. The Chanticleers hold a 9-6-1 advantage. Most recently, the two met on Oct. 21, 2021, in Conway, S.C. – a 1-0 CCU victory.

Coastal Carolina is coming off a 0-0 draw with then No. 21-nationally ranked West Virginia on the road in Morgantown, W.Va.
Coastal's Joey Batrouni was big in goal for the Chants in the draw, as he made six saves in the match where the Mountaineers outshot the Chants 13-5 for the contest and held a 6-2 edge in shots on goal.
WVU also held the advantage in corner kicks at 7-2, offsides call at 4-2, and fouls at 10-7. However, the Chants were issued three yellow cards to the Mountaineers' two.
