CONWAY, S.C. –  The Coastal Carolina men's soccer team will remain on the road to face the No. 2 UCF Knights in Orlando, Fla. at 7 p.m. ET on Oct. 18.

Chant Talk

• The Chants have a 3-5-3, 1-2-2 Sun Belt record this season.
• No. 2 UCF will be the third ranked opponent that the Chants have faced this year.
• CCU has a .500 record versus ranked teams after beating No. 12 JMU 3-2 on Sept. 23 and falling to No. 1 Marshall 6-1 on Oct. 13.
• This is the fifth time in program history that the Chants will play against the No. 2 team in the NCAA.
• CCU's most recent encounter against a No. 2-ranked team came last year when the Chants tied 0-0 with Kentucky on Oct. 19.
• Deryn Armstrong regained the top spot on the team with three goals and eight points after he scored Coastal's lone goal versus No. 1 Marshall.

Last Time Out

• CCU fell 6-1 to the No. 1 Marshall Thundering Herd last Friday.
• The Chants conceded two goals in the opening 10 minutes of the match and were only able to release one shot in the first half which was fired off target.
• Coastal narrowed the gap to 2-1 in the 49th minute when Armstrong chipped the ball over the Marshall keeper's head off an assist from Doug Hainer and Kari Sigfusson.
• The Thundering Herd tallied four more goals in the 52nd, 64th, 69th, and 86th minutes to claim the 6-1 victory.

History Against

• CCU has a 2-2-0 record versus the UCF Knights.
• This is UCF's first season in the Sun Belt and it will be the first conference matchup between the two teams.
• This is their first encounter since September 1998.
• Thursday marks CCU's third consecutive trip to Orlando, Fla.
• A win for the Chants would even Coastal's away record at 2-2-0.
• While the series is tied at two wins apiece, the Chants have been outscored 12-7.

Scouting the Opponent

• UCF has a 7-1-2, 3-1-1 Sun Belt record and is ranked No. 2 in the nation.
• The Knights are on a three-match win streak after defeating Kentucky (Sept. 29), Georgia Southern (Oct. 7), and Old Dominion (Oct. 14).
• Lucca Dourado leads the team with eight goals and places tied for first in the Sun Belt with three game-winning goals.
• UCF's keeper Juanvi Munoz is second in the Sun Belt with a .900 goals-against average and has made 34 saves on the season.
• The Knights have had three Sun Belt Player of the Week winners in Zane Bubb (Sept. 5), Munoz (Oct. 3), and Robbie Soronellas (Oct. 10).
