CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina beach volleyball team opened its 2023 season at the Seminole Beach Bash picking up its first-ever win over a nationally ranked team not once but twice and in return the Sandy Chants have received their first-ever top-20 national ranking in two different polls.

In the collegebeachvb poll, Coastal Carolina came in at No. 19 and in the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Collegiate Beach Coaches Top 20 Poll the Sandy Chants come in at No. 20.
CCU picked up a pair of wins over No. 13 Cal Poly and No. 16 Washington on Sunday afternoon in Tallahassee, Fla.
The Sandy Chants will return to action Friday (March 3) and Saturday (March 4) at the DUUUVAL Duals in Jacksonville, Fla.
