Keith Earns NFCA All-Region Honors

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Coastal Carolina softball freshman Delaney Keith was named to the All-Central Region third team by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) on Thursday afternoon.
Keith played and started in all 56 of Coastal's games this season at third base and led the team in doubles (14), triples (2), slugging percentage (.632), and on-base percentage (.431).
Four walk-off wins were secured off Keith's bat this season versus UMass Lowell (Feb. 9), Houston Christian (March 11), Georgia Southern (March 31), and Southern Miss (May 10). Keith's final walk-off came in the of the bottom of the 10th inning when she crushed a three-run home run to send the Chants to the Sun Belt Championship Tournament quarterfinals.
The freshman started the season with a 14-game on-base streak and had a sequence of recording a hit in 15 out of 17 games between March 24 – April 25. Notably, she recorded 15 multi-hit games with seven multi-RBI games and finished the season with a team-high five RBIs versus Houston Christian (March 11).
Keith completed the year ranked in the top 10 in the Sun Belt Conference in OPS (1.063), doubles (14), and hit-by-pitches (7).
