CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina volleyball team will close out the 2024 regular season on the road at South Alabama on Nov. 15-16, in Mobile, Ala. The first serve will begin at 7 p.m. ET on Friday and 1 p.m. ET on Saturday, with both matches being streamed on ESPN+.

SERIES BETWEEN COASTAL AND TEXAS STATE
Coastal Carolina leads the all-time series 14-6 against the South Alabama Jaguars, with the two teams' first meeting in 2000 where the Chants fell 3-2. The Chanticleers and Jaguars split last season in Conway with CCU knocking USA out of the Sun Belt Championship tournament.
ABOUT COASTAL CAROLINA
The Chanticleers enter the weekend at 11-15 overall and 6-8 in Sun Belt action after dropping a pair of matches to the Texas State Bobcats last weekend.
CCU is led by
Jalyn Stout, who has 328 kills, 474 assists, and 321 digs to average a triple-double.
Agata Lesiak,
Emily Fowler,
Lauren Malone, and
Emma Van Elslande aid the offensive attack with 233, 200, 167, and 111 kills, respectively.
Cagla Bengi is second on the team with 354 assists, while
Sydney Lewis has 116 helpers.
Defensively,
Dilara Unal leads the team with 92 blocks, while Lesiak (58) and
Valentina Varani (54) have combined for 112 stops at the net. Lewis's 340 digs have helped put the offense back in attack mode.
ABOUT SOUTH ALABAMA
The South Alabama Jaguars enter play with a 14-10 overall record and a 10-4 record in league play, having dropped a pair of 3-1 matches to Arkansas State last weekend.
Abryanna Cannon, Sarah Gooch, and Maradith O'Gorman lead the Jags' attack with 299, 234, and 201 kills, respectively, while Lillie Simons (156) and Dalayla Blackwell (111) has triple-digit kills. Anna Loberg leads the team with 878 assists and has added 24 service aces to pace the team.
Simons (98), O'Gorman (65), and Blackwell (59) have stopped 55 or more kill attempts with Cannon and Loberg adding 50 and 42 blocks, respectively. Briana Wilson has 385 digs to get the offense started, while Cannon (219), Loberg (194), Addison Hurst (163), and Erika Spankus (116) have triple-digit digs.
