Lynchburg, Va. - The Coastal Carolina women's indoor track and field team wrapped competition today at the Darius Dixon Invitational in Lynchburg, Va. on the campus of Liberty University.
The Chants came away from this weekend's meet with three top-place finishes, including two from sophomore Zionna Perez-Tucker in the women's 60m prelims and the 200m finals and one from junior Amanda Kinloch in the women's 60m hurdles prelims. Kinloch also came in second in the 60m hurdles finals with a 8.35 final time.
CCU's other top finishes of the weekend came from senior Lauren Gordon claiming third in the women's 400m invite, senior Molly Jones and junior Ellie Wolski finishing ninth and tenth, respectively, in the women's 3000m and the 4x400m relay team, consisting of Gordon, Perez-Tucker, Kinloch and senior Amelia Canetto.
As the indoor regular season closes, CCU will now move into postseason play with the start of the Sun Belt Conference Championships in Birmingham, Ala. on Feb. 19-20.
