CONWAY, S.C. - The Coastal Carolina men's tennis team is back at home tomorrow afternoon against the Queens University of Charlotte Royals at the Stevens Tennis Complex.
The Chants are coming off a 4-2 loss at home to South Carolina State on Monday, moving their record on the season to 1-3. Seniors Carlos Berna Ruiz and Lucas Wayenburg, recently announced as the 36th-ranked doubles pairing in the country, remained unbeaten in doubles play, moving their individual record to 4-0, following a 6-1 victory over the Bulldogs' Novak Novakovic and Mikalai Bankou. Senior Jesus Garcia added to his singles win tally with a 6-0, 6-3 win over SCSU's Vanja Petrov.
Queens enters tomorrow's match 1-4 after dropping two straight to Garner-Webb and Presbyterian. In their lone win of 2024 thus far, the Royals took down James Madison in a hard-fought match in Greenville, N.C, outlasting the Dukes 4-3.
CCU's matchup with the Queens University of Charlotte Royals on Friday, Feb. 9 is set for a 2 P.M. ET start, opening with doubles play.
