Chants Continue Homestand Against Campbell

CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina women's lacrosse team (5-4, 0-0 ASUN) is set to take on the Campbell Fighting Camels (3-7, 0-3 CAA) tomorrow afternoon at Brooks Stadium in the third game of their current four-game homestand. 

History vs. Campbell 

The Chants are 8-2 all-time against Campbell in 10 previous meetings, most recently in a 24-12 win on the road at Barker-Lane Stadium a season ago. Coastal has won four of their last five games against the Fighting Camels dating back to the 2018 campaign. 

About Coastal 

CCU is coming off a come from behind, 17-12 win over High Point in the second game of the homestand. Head Coach Rachel Shuck Whitten's group have won four of their last five outings with wins over Elon, Binghamton, Manhattan and High Point during that span. 

The Chants feature five double-digit scorers in Sydney McClure, Monica Manley, Maddie Bates, Avery McIlwaine and Abi George. McClure leads the team in both scoring and assists with 21 and 16 on the season thus far. Against High Point, Manley scored her 100th career point following a four goal, two assist performance against the Panthers. 

Campbell will feature as Coastal's final non-conference opponent prior to the start of ASUN Conference play at home against Lindenwood on Saturday, Mar. 30 at 12 P.M. ET. CCU's non-conference finale will be against the Vanderbilt Commodores on Wednesday, Apr. 10 in Nashville, Tenn.  

About Campbell 

Campbell enters the week at 3-7 following a 21-3 loss on the road to No. 14 Stony Brook. The Fighting Camels visit Conway having lost five of the last six with the lone win in that stretch coming against Manhattan in a 19-11 win at home. 

Campbell currently has two players with 20+ goals on the season in senior forward Joslin Hanbury and fifth-year senior forward Ally Heath, and three others in double figures in Bridget Ahlgren, McKenna Duncan and Lexi Goff.  

CCU vs. Campbell will kick off tomorrow at 6 P.M. ET at Brooks Stadium, streaming on ESPN+.
