CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina beach volleyball team will put its 13-match winning streak on the line this weekend as the Chanticleers compete in the College of Charleston Beach Classic on Apr. 12-13. The Chants will face EKU and North Florida on Friday before tangling with UNCW and College of Charleston on Saturday.
RECORD BREAKERS
Coastal enters the weekend with a program-record 13-match winning streak, breaking the previous mark of 11 set by the 2021 squad.
Madison Allred and
Raychel Ehlers have won 13 consecutive bouts as a pair, the longest streak for any pair in program history. They are 11-0 at the No. 5 spot and are one of only three pairs in the NCAA with at least 11 wins and no losses in one flight.
IN-STATE SUCCESS
Coastal Carolina is 62-38 all-time in the state of South Carolina, including a 10-2 mark in matches played in the Palmetto State this season. The Chanticleers are 13-4 all-time on the sand at College of Charleston
COASTAL & EKU HISTORY
The two teams will be meeting for the fourth time, as the Sandy Chants are 3-0 all-time against EKU. The Chants met the Colonels last season with CCU winning 5-0.
COASTAL & NORTH FLORIDA HISTORY
Coastal Carolina has dropped all seven meetings against North Florida. The Chanticleers fell 4-1 against the Ospreys in 2023.
COASTAL & UNCW HISTORY
CCU is facing UNCW for the 18th time in program history. The Chants have split a pair of matches against the Seahawks this season.
COASTAL & COLLEGE OF CHARLESTON HISTORY
The Sandy Chants are 7-8 all-time against the Cougars. CCU claimed a 4-1 win in the last meeting on Mar. 3.
