CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina softball team will welcome the Charleston Southern Buccaneers for a doubleheader on Wednesday afternoon at St. John Stadium. Game one is set to commence at 3 p.m. ET.
 
LAST TIME OUT

• The Chants took a 2-1 series win over the Southern Miss Golden Eagles last weekend.
• Coastal's series finale win over USM marked the second time the Chants have won a series-deciding matchup this year.
• Riley Zana belted her fourth grand slam this season on Sunday. She is the only player in the NCAA to achieve this feat this season.
• Both Georgia Hood and Maddy Jennings had stellar weekends, going 3-for-3 at the plate versus the Golden Eagles.
• Coastal scored 16 runs in the series-deciding matchup, marking the first time CCU tallied 16 or more runs in a game since an 18-0 win versus Saint Peters on March 1, 2014.
• The Chants shut out Southern Miss 6-0 in the series opener to pick up their 11th shutout win of the season. The win ranks them tied for 12th in the nation in shutouts.

• Charleston Southern has an 18-18 overall record on the year.
• The Buccaneers are on a two-game winning streak after downing Presbyterian 2-1 in their last three-game series.
• Madelyne Lee tops the team with a .333 batting average and 11 RBIs on the year.
• CSU has recorded just three home runs on the season while Coastal has smashed 42 on the year.
• Nealy Lamb has recorded a 2.04 ERA and leads the team with 91 strikeouts.
• Carsten Sandvig has four triples on the year which ranks her tied for 21st in the NCAA.
• Harper Schoeneweis picked up Big South Player of the Week honors earlier this season. She is the first Buccaneer to earn this accolade since 2018.
