CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina volleyball team will open the home portion of its 2024 schedule as the Chanticleers will meet the Gardner-Webb Bulldogs on Thursday, Sept. 12, and the nationally ranked #16 Tennessee Volunteers on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 14-15. All home matches will be streamed on ESPN+.
The #16 Volunteers are the highest-ranked volleyball team to play on the campus of Coastal Carolina University.

ABOUT COASTAL CAROLINA
The Chanticleers enter the week with a 2-4 record after picking up a pair of wins at the Cavalier Classic at the University of Virginia last weekend. Coastal was voted to finish second in the East Division in the 2024 Sun Belt Conference Preseason Poll and saw
Jalyn Stout selected as the Sun Belt Offensive Preseason Player of the Year. The Chants lead the overall series with the Bulldogs 13-2 and have a 1-1 record against Tennessee.
CCU is led by Stout, who has 76 kills, 99 assists, and 68 digs, to average a triple-double.

Agata Lesiak,
Lauren Malone, and
Dilara Unal have aided the offensive attack with 55, 51, 36, and 19 kills, respectively. Stout leads the team with 99 assists, while
Cagla Bengi has added 98 assists.
Defensively, Unal leads the team with 21 blocks with Lesiak having stopped 13 kills at the net, while
Valentina Varani has 11 blocks.
Sydney Lewis has a team-high 82 digs on the season.
ABOUT GARDNER-WEBB
Gardner-Webb enters play with a 1-7 record, having picked up its lone win over Lamar at the Norfolk State Tournament on the opening weekend of the season.
Cayton White leads the attack with 76 kills while Samia Sayd (40), Isabella Raciunas (36), and Alivia Rew (34) have over 30 kills each. Morgan Hornaday leads the team with 78 assists while Sloane Rooney's eight service aces are tops.
Milla Lugo (15), Rew (14), and Sayd (10) have stopped double-digit kill attempts while Molly Littlefield leads the team with 134 digs.
ABOUT TENNESSEE
The University of Tennessee sits at 3-2, having won its last three matches after dropping the first two matches of the season to Penn State and Louisville. The Volunteers' last contest was a return meeting with Knoxville Regional opponent Western Kentucky.
Nina Cajic (64), Hayden Kubik (45), and Paityn Chapman (44) have tallied over 40 kills with Keondreya Granberry adding 39 kills to pace the offense. Carolina Kerr is Tennessee's assist leader with 185 helpers.
Granberry (22) and Chapman (13) have stopped double-digit kill attempts with Kubik leading the team with 48 digs.
